It is very important for you to have a travel insurance policy while you are venturing for the high mountains in Nepal. There are several type of insurance policy and it is important for you to make sure that your policy covers not only for your medical expenses but also emergency and evacuation and that as well in the altitude of over 3000 meters.

If you do not intend to go on a trek beyond 3000 meters, you may just need insurance policy for theft, loss and medical problems. Please be extra careful to read your policy and the small prints specially. Some insurance policies do not cover for dangerous activities that may include rafting, mountain biking, riding motorbikes, trekking and even other adventure activities.
